Hey, nice digs. I'm perplexed by the ceiling - looks like linoleum! Your apartment seems to be much nicer - and more spacious - than your last place. Love the water view!!

I wondered about that linoleum-like ceiling too.. :) but mostly the gardener in me wants to know what you're growing on your balcony?

I guess it is linoleum on the ceiling.. I never really looked? It is more spacious than before and the tatami is quite new, which is nice. The old house had low eves that made it cave-like, so the natural light here is awesome.

Katy, I have nine planters - and room for maybe three more. I have mini tomatoes in four of them, watermelon and cantaloupe in one, almost harvestable carrots in one, and just-sprouting lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, basil, and cucumbers in the remaining planters. I am kinda anxious to ditch the underperforming mini tomatoes and get some more lettuce going (it performs like it's on steroids here).
